Honeys School of Dance

Cailin attended her first yoga class in her senior year of college. Having never considered herself particularly strong or agile, she was surprised to learn how much she could enjoy “exercise.” As she continued to study, her “stretching” evolved to a yoga practice that not only strengthened her body but expanded beyond the mat and fostered a sense of calm and self-awareness throughout times of stress. After two years, she became inspired to turn her favorite hobby into her vocation and enrolled in Vanessa Cafiero’s teacher training program at Emerge Yoga & Wellness in Bellmore, which she completed in 2014. Cailin’s goal is always to provide an upbeat and encouraging space for students to explore and develop their abilities and create a lifelong practice they love. Whether fast-paced and flowy, sustained and strengthening, or gently restorative, her classes always emphasize individual body awareness and self-care.

oga general description:

Yoga uses a combination of still postures, fluid movement, and breathing exercises to deepen awareness of the body and its connection to the mind. A typical class consists of an opening meditation centering on the breath, followed by a flow of poses focused on building strength and flexibility while releasing tension in the body. Each session closes with a few minutes of deep relaxation. Yoga instructors encourage students to progress at their own pace, offering modifications to make poses either more supportive or more challenging wherever necessary. As a result, students of all levels of experience can share a practice together and experience yoga’s calming benefits as a group.

Yoga/AromaRestorative Class

The evening will begin with an open level vinyasa yoga practice that allows students to work out bodily tension through movement and transition into more slow-paced yin yoga, which uses longer holds in resting poses to soothe the mind. Throughout the evening, various relaxing and restoring essential oils will be offered to aid students as they focus more deeply on their breath.
